There is still no handshake between Spezia and Panathinaikos for the permanent transfer of the goalkeeper Bartlomej Dragowski. With the Pole’s loan redemption window having just passed, the 26-year-old’s future is less clear than it seemed last week, when a deal between the two clubs looked like it could go through in a matter of days.
The Spezia of Riccardo Pecini he had paid him 2,450,000 euros from Fiorentina in 2023, payable in two installments (already paid). The Athenians’ offer is around 2 million, just over half of the figure agreed in January (3.5 million euros). An agreement that seemed likely to come to fruition in recent days and which, however, has not yet seen any significant developments.
The Via Melara club has not yet said yes, it continues to study the financial aspects which also concern the very heavy salary of Dragowski, out of logic in Serie B. In the middle there was the arrival in Italy of the president Philip Platek, which may have determined the wait-and-see strategy. It’s not a real afterthought, but it’s not excluded that a request for information may have arrived that suggests caution.
