TURIN – Piedmont weather: the forecast for the week.
WEATHER FORECAST IN PIEDMONT
During the new week, the North African anticyclone will strengthen again over Italy, resulting in a phase of more stable and progressively warmer weather, but at least over Piedmont, without major excesses. Between Monday and Wednesday we will have a prevalence of sun with at most a few scattered clouds close to the mountains. The peak of the heat is expected around mid-week when the first 30°C of the season can be reached and with slightly higher peaks especially on the low eastern plains, the freezing point can easily exceed 4000m. From Thursday, the infiltration of wetter currents into the Alpine arc could lead to an accentuation of thunderstorm instability in the Alps, which could also extend to the high plains (to be confirmed) in any case always in a warm and at times muggy thermal context. WEATHER FORECAST
Meteorology, literally “study of celestial phenomena”, is the branch of atmospheric and Earth sciences that studies the physical phenomena that occur in the Earth’s atmosphere (troposphere) and are responsible for the weather. Weather forecasts are usually obtained by the following procedure:
- observation and measurement of atmospheric variables (for example wind speed and direction, air temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure);
- transcription, study and processing of data collected on synoptic maps or by assimilating the data through mathematical models that run on digital calculators. Where in the latter case the meteorological situation of a given moment is produced, called analysis;
- future prognosis starting from the synoptic maps. Or by evolving the initial condition through the use of mathematical meteorological models (forecast).
