More than 300 registered at the start, Carlo Bonnet’s encore after last year’s success and that of Cecilia Curti wearing the colors of the Legnano Runners. But also the colorful Family Run with the athletes of Skating Rescaldina opening the group and faithful friends of man with their owners of Wild Dreams closing the colorful snake. This is the positive outcome of StraResca 2024 held on Friday 14 June in Rescaldina. Stefano Colombo, president of Sport+a, is satisfied commented: «It is an event that confirms that it still has margins for growth organized with Sport+ in control and in collaboration with the administration and partners who have believed in this sporting project since its debut. Now we dive into the Pam Race on June 27, the other race of the Tour under the stars and then, straight away to work for a third great edition.”
The Barbara Melzi sports center acts as a corollary to the start and finish, where Sport+ has also set up a podium, refreshments and an interview point for the athletes at the end of the race. And opening the race is a Fiat Topolino from the 1950s. Also present at the running race were the mayor Gilles Ielo and the sports councilor Gianluca Crugnola. Both expressed words of satisfaction «for the event which is becoming a beautiful tradition for Rescaldina and which at each edition is demonstrating its ability to bring together many racing enthusiasts».
A race for those who love to run fast and hard, the 6.5 kilometers of the Fidal certified route required the maximum commitment of the runners competing despite the brevity of the route. At the finish line Carlo Bonnet of Sport Project Vco crossed the finish line first in 21.23. Followed by
Thomas Marras of Azzurra Garbagnate (21.33); Luca Venier of Runners Legnano (9.47pm); Silvio Stella of Us Sangiorgese (10.24pm) and Marco Bellucco of SI-Sport S.Stefano (10.33pm). Among the women, Cecilia Curti of Runnes Legnano won (22.57), followed by Cristina
Brembilla, Us Nervianese (28.24); Mascia Pagani, Gp Marciatori Cogliate (29.32); Anna Arcuri, Sport+ Spd (29.58) and Laura Podda, Gap Saronno (30.51).
Now the next appointment is for June 27th with the Pam Race, a race that will take place inside the Alto Milanese Park, again in the evening, starting at 8pm.
