On Friday and Saturday, the patrols of the State Police Flying Squad were called repeatedly to intervene in incidents of theft and harassment in the city’s supermarkets. The balance is five complaints, four expulsions and two compulsory expulsion orders.

Friday: Thefts at the Eurospin in Via Renon

The first intervention was requested around 12pm on Friday. A call to the emergency number 112 NUE reported a theft in progress at the Eurospin supermarket in via Renon. The officers, who arrived on site, made contact with the supermarket security officer. He reported having noticed, via surveillance cameras, a suspicious individual hiding products in his bag. The suspect, identified as HME, a 29-year-old Moroccan citizen without a fixed address and with numerous criminal records, admitted to the theft and returned the stolen goods. The man was reported for theft and the police commissioner of Bolzano, Paolo Sartori, issued an expulsion decree with an order to remove him from the national territory.

Shortly afterwards, around 3pm, again at the Eurospin in via Renon, another theft by three people was reported. The officers, who intervened quickly, blocked the suspects at the exit of the supermarket. The three, identified as ABR, a 28-year-old Tunisian with a record for interruption of public service; ZM, a 23-year-old Moroccan with previous convictions for robbery, damage, aggravated theft and escape; and MG, a 21-year-old homeless woman from Bolzano with a history of aggravated theft and personal injury, they admitted the theft and returned the stolen goods. They too were reported for conspiracy theft. Police Commissioner Sartori issued expulsion decrees for the two foreigners and a mandatory deportation order for the woman, with a ban on returning to Bolzano for three years.

The officers identified the subject as IN, a 42-year-old Romanian citizen with a history of brawling, aggravated robbery and violations of the urban DASPO. The man had offended and threatened the supermarket manager with threatening phrases. The intervention of the police restored calm and the man was reported for threatening. For him too, Police Commissioner Sartori issued a mandatory expulsion order with a ban on returning to Bolzano for four years.
