The culture of non-violence and respect for the rules in life and sport finds a privileged interlocutor in boxing, the first discipline which, at a federal level, has obtained anti-bullying certification through the path undertaken by ten virtuous societies, including Latin Boxing, present in the Senate in the Zuccari Room of Palazzo Giustiniani, where the final conference of the Ethic project was heldtol Sports.

Initiative supported by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department Politics Familiari, and promoted by the association Konsumer Italy, in partnership with the Italian Boxing Federation and the Observatory Noational Bullism and Disagio Gyouth and carried out with the certification body Quaser. A training course divided into 18 months, in which multiple professional figureslike psychologist Terry Bruno, they met teachers, sports technicians, students and parents. The project coordinator is the lawyer Giorgia Venerandi. My colleague Giada Briziarelli moderated the conference. The deputy vice-president of CONI Silvia Salis and the president of FPI Flavio D’Ambrosi took part in the certification delivery ceremony.

“After 18 long and intense months – commented Giorgia Venerandi – we have successfully completed what we had planned. I thank the FPI for having welcomed this project into its home, dedicated to young people, inclusive and aimed at change, and I know that it will continue to implement it, also because today we are in the midst of a reform of sport and therefore in anticipation of the mandatory content of Ethical Sport, all inside the sporting world. There is only one way to live: live ethically.” In Italy at least 30 court cases a year concern abuses in the world of sport, of which gymnastics and tennis are the most affected. The role of the teacher and sports technicians, as sentries for the families, often carrying out their functions. The aim is to create a stronger social network, which allows the young person to strengthen their self-esteem, overcoming their insecurities, also through stories of their experiences, which remain confidential and personal. The meetings entitled “Empty the bag” went precisely in this direction. Bullying is fought in this way, dealing with the issues of managing emotions, legality, ethics and digital education.

“We are only at the beginning of the journey – declared maestro Mirco Turrin – , in the gym we must pay close attention to noticing any anomalous situations and those who are in difficulty must be enabled to feel protected, finding people capable of listening”. Boxing, thanks to the Lazio clubs and its technicians, has demonstrated that it fully understands the ethical aspect as well as the sporting one. We are ready to continue this challenge.”
