Virtus Bologna, now that Segafredo has renewed its sponsorship, must review the roster a bit for next season but still has some fixed points from which to start again.
Italians
Daniel Hackett (2026) and Alessandro Pajola (2026) will be the point guard duo again next year. However, Bruno Mascolo’s permanence will be difficult and he could find much more space at Reyer Venezia as he comes from a year where he played very little. Marco Belinelli (2025) will still be the starting guard of the team e Achille Polonara (2025) will be the Italian big man also in the next season. Awudu Abass is a question mark since he is expiring, even if the Virtussini would like to confirm him for a little longer after the season he has just played.
Foreigners
Isaïa Cordinier still has one year left on his contract and therefore should be the starting small forward next year. But we wouldn’t be surprised if a call came fromNBAabove all if he were to have an excellent Olympics with his France. Ognjen Dobric has another year with Virtus Bologna but could still leave in the summer because he didn’t have much space with Luca Banchi. The same goes for Devontea Cacok, with the added aggravating circumstance of the injury. Ante Zizic he still has 2 more years in Bologna but we cannot define it as a fixed point While Bryant Dunston could renewthere being an option. The great doubt is called Tornik’e Shengelia. The Georgian is absolutely the best player of the VuNere and therefore also has a very heavy contract, difficult to bear with Bologna’s new (reduced) budget. Let’s see if an extra effort will be made to keep him at least another year.
