The on-call bus service reaches the sea

Sharing expands to extra-urban areas with two sections towards the sea. After the launch of the on-call service in the capital last December, now it’s the turn of the buses on the Rovigo-Adria-Rosolina and Rovigo-Adria-Porto Tolle-Barricata lines, so it will be possible to book the ride which will be at a fixed time and route. From 9 June to 10 September, coinciding with the school holidays, the on demand option is activated in urban areas between 1.30pm and 7.30pm, with an hourly extension compared to what is foreseen in the winter programme, in which the possibility of calling is activated starting from 3.30pm.

The service, headed by the Province of Rovigo, leader and implementing body of local public transport, sees Bus Italia as a project partner as implementing body, therefore as a trustee. If for extra-urban sharing this is an absolute debut, for bikes there is an important confirmation: the possibility of loading two wheels returns at a cost of 3 euros in addition to the regular ticket with reservations to be made in the Quibus Veneto app (or with cash payment on board with a slight surcharge); each carrier is equipped with a special trolley that can load up to six bikes, while as regards the calendar the service will also be guaranteed during the August bank holiday, from Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th.
