After a few weeks of rumors, the Milan made the transfer, this time permanently, of Charles official De Ketelaere toAtalanta. The Belgian striker will join the Bergamo team for a total fee of 22 million eurosplus 3 million already collected by the Rossoneri.

So let’s understand how much this operation will impact the budget Milan. According to what was reported by Calcio e Finanza, the cost of the player is equal to 36.5 million euros. As of 30 June 2023 – the last official data available, after having written off just over 7.2 million in the first season – its net value had dropped to just under 29.3 million euros. The same figure will have reached quota 21.97 million euros to 30 June 2024.

Therefore considering the sale for 22 million euros, the Milan it will basically be on par with one minimum capital gain (in the order of a few thousand euros). Looking to the 2024/25 season, the club will however be able to count on a positive effect of approximately 7.3 million euros, relating to the amortization fee which will no longer be among the costs in the budget.
