Naples, Trianon Viviani: Music Festival with “La Serva padrona”

At the side of the show, a nativity scene in the eighteenth-century Neapolitan style

The Trianon Viviani participate in Music FestivalThe June 21st next, at 8.30pmwith a new production: “The Servant Mistress“, the masterpiece of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi on booklet by Gennaro Antonio Federico.

The famous eighteenth-century comic intermezzo was set by the director Mariano Bauduin in the living room Salvatore Di Giacomo and sees, as interpreters, the soprano Giovanna Caterina Di Lucathe bass Francesco Auriemma and the actor and baritone Maurizio Murano.

Accompanying the singing company isOrchestra from Kamera and the choir of Little Singers of Forcella. The Orchestra, conducted by Paolo Acunzois made up of teachers and students from two Neapolitan youth groups who have adopted the teaching model “the System” by Josè Antonio Abreu: Sanitansamble And Piccola Orchestra di Forcella. The Little Singers are directed by Vincenza D’Ambrosio.

«For the important event of the Music Festival – explains Gianni Pintopresident of Trianon Viviani – the public theater foundation followed its cultural and social mission, producing a new staging of a masterpiece of the musical heritage of Naples and Europe, in which teachers and students of youth groups from Forcella and Sanità participate, who are an important instrument of promotion of music, social inclusion and fight against educational poverty”.

He echoes it Antonio Roberto Lucidipresident of Sanitansamble and member of the board of directors of Trianon Viviani with responsibility for relations with the territory: «La Serva padrona is a beautiful occasion with which the theater opens up to the territory. The work, carried out by the prestigious collaboration between the masters Bauduin, Acunzo and Baratta, to name just a few, involves the very young people of the Forcella and Sanità Choir and Orchestra. The representation will be embellished by the exhibitions of the original dresses of the Cinderella Cat created by the great Odette Nicoletti, and by the exhibition of the prestigious figurines of the Neapolitan nativity scene art by the master Vincenzo Capuano. A splendid synergy to promote Neapolitan culture and inclusion and to defeat educational poverty together.”

For Marisa Lauritoartistic director of the theater, «the Trianon Viviani is the theater of Neapolitan song, but it also aims to safeguard and disseminate the most authentic expressions of our musical culture of yesterday and today: La Serva padrona, which we stage for the Music Festival, is a act of celebration and valorization of our artistic roots. And this production, in the particular setting in the living room of Salvatore Di Giacomocreated by Mariano Bauduin, “restores a sense of continuity and liveliness of our musical heritage”.‎

With the Pergolesian staging the theater of Neapolitan song also displays a nativity scene: one Nativity scene in 18th century Neapolitan styleedited by Capuano brotherspromoted byAssociation of the Shops of San Gregorio Armenochaired by Vincenzo Capuano. The work will be on display until Saturday 29 June, with free admission, from Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 1.30pm and from 4pm to 7pm.
