In Catanzaro the exhibition on the portrait, with the use of the camera and a drawing methodology, lo zentangle, famous in America and India. A solo show by the artist Antonella Gentile For “the Art Moments Association” of which he is president.
The graphic and photographic works, in large and small format, refer to a theme that concerns the attenuation of the phenomenon of stardom. A research that starts from the power of the Pharaonic queens, moving on from the religious phenomenon of the adoration of icons to the 20th century events of the deification of the individual and of women.
In particular of film stardom. He also works in photographic poses in the studio and outdoors of professional models, but also of women portrayed in everyday life, without neglecting the phenomenon of AI (artificial intelligence) with the creation of a beautiful DIVA unreal and illusory.
Zentangle And Doodles two different meanings. Zentangle an artistic work done with the utmost attention and Doodles an artistic work performed absentmindedly. And from this point that the spouses Thomas they studied the phenomenon by making it go viral. A creative method, adopted by the artist, designer and photographer Antonella Gentilewithout preconceived schemes.
We start from a line and then turn it into a sign, point and complex decoration. So much so as to expand this method by applying it to engraving, drawing, the graphics tablet, makeup, crochet, etc. Zentangle that they become Zenmandalas: geometries applied with the insertion of the mandala, Zendoodle and also Asemic Zentangle: writing inserted into a tangle of decorations and images.
The photographic portrait captures images of women by placing a focus on them with the use of various poses, lights, almost non-existent backgrounds, dictated by the artistic style of the photographer with particular cuts from which personality and soul emerge. The works are on display in the exhibition starting from June 15 at the “Gallery Moments of Art Association”. The exhibition can be visited every day from Monday to Saturday from 11.00 to 12.30 and from 17.00 to 19.30, with free entry via Genoa 14 to Catanzaro Lido. Free workshops will be held as collateral events to the exhibition.
