The most anticipated summer festival of the year is about to return to Bergamo: The Lazzaretto Summer 2024. This event, strongly desired by the Municipality of Bergamo, promises to offer unique and unforgettable emotions through an unprecedented musical journey.
An Oscar-worthy Inauguration: Homage to Ennio Morricone
The demonstration will start on June 21, 2024 with an opening evening dedicated to one of the greatest musical geniuses of the twentieth century: Maestro Ennio Morricone. The “Homage to Morricone – Oscar Music” event will be an overwhelming and unmissable tribute which will lead the public into the art of the famous composer, offering unique emotions through his most iconic compositions.
Ensemble Le Muse: A Masterful Interpretation
The evocative setting of the Lazzaretto of Bergamo will host the prestigious orchestral complex Ensemble Le Muse, known for his masterful reinterpretations of Sergio Leone’s famous songs, including “Once Upon a Time in the West”, “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”, and “Giù la testa”. There will be no shortage of the magical atmospheres of “Mission”, the more modern notes of “Malena” and “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso”, together with memorable songs such as “Se Telefonando” brought to success by Mina and “Here’s to You” sung by Joan Baez.
Special Guest: Susanna Rigacci
The evening will be enriched by the presence of an exceptional guest: Susanna Rigacci. The Swedish naturalized Italian soprano is famous for her extraordinary vocal performances in the songs of Sergio Leone’s soundtracks composed by Morricone. Rigacci collaborated directly with the Maestro in numerous international concerts, bringing his art all over the world.
A Festival of Emotions and Culture
Lazzaretto Estate 2024 will not only be a tribute to Morricone, but a series of 14 evenings which will be held from 21 June to 28 July. Each event will offer a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in musical experiences of the highest level, spanning various genres and internationally renowned artists.
The event is presented by Shining Production in collaboration with Teatro Verdi of Montecatini Termeensuring excellent quality production and impeccable organization.

Andrea Pennacchi, theater artist since 1993 and author, brings “Pojana ei i Fratelli” to the stage of the Lazzaretto. Pojana’s older brothers – Edo the security, Tonon the rat killer, Alvise the black and others – saw the light the day after April 1st 2014. While Franco Ford known as “Pojana” had already been born.

Sebastiano Di Mauro was born in Acireale (CT) in 1954 where he lived until he was about 18 years old. Afterwards he moved, for short periods, first to Rome, then to Piacenza and finally to Milan where he has lived continuously since 1974. He worked for many years in the employ of the State. In 2006, by strange coincidences, he decided to dedicate himself to online journalism, first taking care of an editorial office in Como and subsequently in Milan and Genoa, coordinating various national editorial offices. He currently has the role of editor-in-chief of this newspaper and also coordinates the other publications of the MWG Group and the various collaborators on the national territory.
