TRIESTE – A 1,300 kilometer journey, to be covered entirely on skates, on one of the longest cycle paths in Europe. It started this morning, from Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia, a Triestethe company of charity of the champion of the Asd Team Roller Senigallia, Mauro Guenciwho undertakes to travel the Adriatica Cycle Route for charity up to the final destination of Santa Maria di Leucain the province of Lecce.
The charitable enterprise
Guenci is therefore headed to the southernmost point of Puglia. The arrival is expected in 13 days, on June 28th. Along the way, anyone who wishes can support the «Adriatic cycle on skates. Pedal, skate with Mauro for a Sea of solidarity”, joining the champion, on skates or riding a bike, and purchasing the official t-shirt of the initiative for the price of 10 euros: the proceeds will be donated to charity. Greeting Guenci today , at the start of “a real challenge along the coasts of the Adriatic”, also the municipal councilor for Sport, Elisa Lodi.
«I am willing – he assured – to evaluate the idea proposed this morning of bringing an event with Santa Claus on rollers to Trieste in December. These are just some examples of the numerous sporting events that contribute to animating the city”. As a skater, recalls a note from the Municipality of Trieste, Guenci has won numerous world and international awards and has also been received by the Holy Father.
