Under 15 Serie C semi-finals: Virtus Francavilla one step away from history. Balance between Pro Sesto and Pergolettese

Last turning point for the Under 15 Serie C championship, before the final challenge that will win the 2023-2024 championship. Contending for the scudetto won last year by Cesena are Virtus Francavilla and Arezzo on one side, while on the other Pergolettese and Pro Sesto, now just ninety minutes away from a dream that has been harbored for an entire season.

Mastronardi’s team starts with a slight advantage and after the 1-0 in the first leg achieved within the friendly walls of ‘Giovanni Paoli II’, thanks to Celentano’s decisive goal, they will have to defend themselves from the attacks of an Arezza team that is anything but beaten. In fact, the two great protagonists of the central south face each other, with the best offensive potential in the category and during the play-offs capable of gradually eliminating teams such as Giugliano, Monterosi, Pescara and Perugia before reaching these semi-finals. For its part, Arezzo, in addition to being able to rely on Farnese, king of the strikers of the season with over 40 goals scored, can count on a collective that in terms of performance, between victories and goals scored, for example, is widely worth the ‘eleven from Puglia.

Maximum balance, however, in the other semi-final between Pro Sesto and Pergolettese, with the team from Sesto San Giovanni, the record-breaking team, which only according to the numbers, seems to have slowed down a bit that authentic domination shown in the regular season and the Crema team that presents itself as the real surprise of the 2023-2024 Final Four. A derby which therefore sees Sacco’s eleven opposing each other, having arrived at this event after the double 1-1 against Alessandria, and Russo’s team which brings with it the scalp of reigning champion Cesena and, in the quarter-finals, the success over a Pontedera, capable of eliminating Padova from 100 goals in the season.
