The former coach of Taranto and Fidelis Andria Aldo Papagni, speaking to the Quotidiano di Puglia, talks about the situation at the rossoblù and the team’s prospects for next season with a few small references to the championship played this year by the jonici. Here are his statements:
”The season just gone? Exceptional. I was curious to evaluate Taranto’s new technical strategy with the appointment of Capuano in the dual role of coach/manager and the results were simply extraordinary. The only blemish concerned the four-point penalty that arrived in March, but the club, on Capuano’s directives, put together a team capable of reaching second position on the pitch. Does Capuano remain? Difficult to understand what is happening. Capuano would like to compete for important goals: the recent second place on the field can only be improved by winning the championship. It’s not easy, but I think that already settling at the same levels would be very important. The company’s moves? I believe that silence always brings discouragement and perhaps worry. I think it’s best to be clear from now on what next year’s project will be. In these cases, the authoritative voice of society is of fundamental importance”
