BRALLO – The Under 10 tennis players from the province of Messina close a season lived as protagonists. A few weeks ago the regional title arrived with consequent qualification for the South macro area phase. Then in Naples the team led by masters Arasi and Branca continued to win, thus qualifying for the prestigious national final which took place in the province of Pavia in recent days . Unfortunately, however, the very young Peloritan talents suffered defeat in the three matches of the “Musetti” group, where they were placed together with Turin, Modena and Lucca.
A bit of regret remains considering that the match against Lucca saw the Sicilians lose 5 matches to 4, same score in the following match against Modena and again a decisive double play-off against Turin. After the three matches, the crossroads with the province of Bari, included in the Sinner group together with Milan, Rome and Ravenna, where the young tennis players followed by the masters Carmelo Arasi and Giulia Sottile, replacing Fabio Branca on this occasion, finally found the victory by 6 to 3 and finished in seventh place nationally.
“A dutiful thanks – is the declaration of the captains -, for having allowed us to participate in one of the most important youth team events in Italy, goes to the Sicilian Regional Committee, led by the President Giorgio Giordano and the Councilor in charge of the technical sector, Tanino Alfano, with our Provincial Delegate Dr. Giovanna Famà”.
