PESARO – The two new wing sliders of Vis Pesaro 2024/25 could be Luca Rudolf Paganini on the left and Ousmane Niang on the right, on whom Roberto Stellone will have the opportunity to work from the beginning of the season after just seven weeks available as a successor. The red and white coach, apparently oriented towards aiming at least initially at 3-4-1-2, would in fact be ready to embrace the Roman winger already under his command at Frosinone between 2012 and 2016 and to welcome him to his court also the not yet twenty-two year old Italian-Senegalese.

Born in Diourbel in Senegal on 28 September 2002, raised in Italy in Cremona since he was 4 years old, Niang is currently owned by Pro Vercelli returning from his loan to Fermana. He arrived in Fermo in mid-January coming from the Piedmontese club, where up to that point he had collected just four match snippets. With the move to the Canaries his presence on the pitch then increased, in particular coinciding with Andrea Mosconi’s arrival on the bench. With the latter, who had coached him in the previous year at Alma in D, he immediately benefited from an opportunity as a starter on 10 March in Recchioni’s match against Pineto. From then on he always found space in the starting eleven, except against Lucchese.
Precisely against the Tuscan Rossoneri, his entry in the second half proved decisive for Fermana, victorious in the 95th minute thanks to a goal scored by the former Fano player. As in the grenade adventure, Mosconi used him mainly as a fifth in midfield, but Niang is also able to operate in other positions on the wing, relying above all on running and if necessary he can also cover the interior position.

He is also included in the youth playing time, like two other top players that Vis sent to wean themselves in D. They are Giovanni Gambino and Francesco D’Innocenzo, offensive laterals born in 2004 and 2003 respectively. Gambino, taken from the Pesaro club by Cattolica in Excellence and tested in Alessandro Sandreani’s Primavera 3, he played 33 matches with Casarano, scoring two heavy goals against Nardò and Barletta. He played a little less than D’Innocenzo in Altamura, in a team that however achieved promotion to C through a fantastic ride. For him 9 calls from the 1st minute and 15 calls in progress, more or less like in the previous championship always in D in Chieti. They will probably both undergo summer training, to be closely evaluated by Stellone and his staff. Returning to the Vis squad, which will face its seventh consecutive season in Lega Pro, it should ultimately be made up of a dozen overs and as many unders. The appeal would therefore perhaps be missing a defender and an attacking midfielder, roles for which the names of ’98 Davide Bove of Crotone in C and of 2000 Antonio Messina of Gladiator in D have been circulated.
