Many musical events are coming with the Trasimeno Music Festival, a concert series now in its 19th edition. The Festival will take place in Umbria, between Perugia and Magione. Let’s discover the dates, the program and the artists of the new edition of the event.

The Festival will take place from 27 June to 3 July 2024 between the cities and villages of Umbria.
Concerts, interviews and moments of conviviality will take place in the enchanting sites of Perugia, Magione and its small village of San Savino. Places that will amplify the beauty of the melodies of Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Ravel, Mozart and other illustrious names from the classical and symphonic musical scene.
In addition to the performances of Angela Hewittto animate the concerts of the event on Trasimeno there will be, among others, the mezzo-soprano Anna Bonitatibusthe pianists Jaeden Izik-Dzurko, Chiara Biagioli, and Jonathan FerrucciL’Orchestra of the JS Bach-Stiftung, St. Gallenand the composer and organist, as well as teacher and lecturer, Rudolf Lutz.
However, the list of protagonists is still long, with many artists among them violinists, lute and percussion players, guitarists and cellistswaiting to enchant the audience with elegant and engaging notes.
In the week dedicated to classical music that is about to begin, there will also be opportunities for conviviality and moments to appreciate the tasty local cuisine. They are indeed scheduled gala dinners, buffets and aperitifs in the locations where the events will take place.

The venues chosen for the festival’s performances are all exceptional.
Many of the locations are located in Perugia. We’re talking about the Basilica of Saint Peterof theOratory of San Francesco dei Nobiliof theAuditorium of the Church of San Francesco al Prato and of Sala dei Notari of Palazzo dei Priorilocated in the city center.
Instead Mansion (Perugia), one of the numerous small Umbrian villages, will host the concerts of the Trasimeno Music Festival event in Castle of the Knights of Malta and in the central square of village of San Savino.

- Friday 28 June, 9pm: Jordi Savall: from East to West, at the Castle of the Knights of Malta, Magione;
- Saturday 29 June, 9pm: Chamber music in Magione, Castle of the Knights of Malta, Magione;
- Sunday 30 June, 9pm: String Quartet and Guitar, Castle of the Knights of Malta, Magione;
- Monday 1 July, 5pm: A day with Rudolf Lutz – first part, at St. Peter’s Basilica, Perugia – Rudolf Lutz will illustrate the Cantatas of JS Bach and hold a series of improvisations on the composer’s music with Angela Hewitt;
- Monday 1 July, 9pm: A day with Rudolf Lutz – second part, at St. Peter’s Basilica, Perugia;
- Tuesday 2 July, 4pm: Interview with Sir Simon Schama at Sala dei Notari, Palazzo dei Priori, Perugia – with journalist Eric Friesen;
- Wednesday 3 July, 4pm and 7.30pm: Closing recital with Angela Hewitt, at Oratorio di San Francesco dei Nobili, Perugia.

How to get to Perugia and Magione
Different ones travel options for those who need to reach the locations. To get to Umbria, if you are starting from far away, you can book a flight and land at Perugia airport.
In the Old Town it will only be possible to move around the city standingbut cars can be left in the numerous surrounding car parks and in the blue striped stalls in Perugia.
