Softball A1: derby of fear between Collecchio and Old Parma

Many fundamental duels on the fifth day of return to Serie A1 Softball, the last before the national break.

A large portion of salvation comes from the Parma derby between Bertazzoni Collecchio (5-19) e Pubbliservice Old Parma (2-22). In the first leg, a drawn series gave Old Parma their first victory of the season and prevented Collecchio from placing themselves in a situation of tranquility, in which they are not even now although they boast a three-game lead at the bottom of the table. It’s clear that Parma’s yellow-blues are the ones who are playing a lot in this clash: a double defeat would probably put an end to their chances of abandoning the last position in the standings, while one – or even two – successes would leave further doors open. The seasonal numbers smile on Collecchio, a more solid team especially on the pitch, but tension could be a factor.

Once this championship day is over, A1 Softball will stop until July 20th to make room for the national teams’ commitments, including the World Cup in Castions di Strada (UD) from July 15th to 20th. Next weekend, Saturday 22 Junehowever, the 2024 edition of the Italian Cupin which MKF Bollate, Italposa Forlì, Inox Team Saronno and Rheavendors Caronno will take part on the “Buscherini” diamond of Forlì.
