Florence, 14 June 2024 – Diffuse Tuscany, that of small towns: in the mountains, on the hills or on the coast. That of the villages and the thousand treasures, hidden or not. It is the theme of the twelfth edition of Arcobaleno d’Estate, a container of events, that from 19 to 25 June will liven up Tuscany, promoted by the Region together with La Nazione with the support of Toscana Promozione Turistica, Fondazione Sistema Toscana and Vetrina Toscana and with the participation of trade associations.

The presentation was attended by our deputy director Luigi Caroppo, the president Eugenio Giani, the directors of Toscana Promozione Turistica, Francesco Tapinassi, and of Fondazione Sistema Toscana, Francesco Palumbo. Also sitting at the table were the general director and president of Confcommercio Toscana, Franco Marinoni and Aldo Cursano, the head of the Tourism area of Confesercenti Toscana Maila Bettaccini, Daniela Peatraglia of Confristoranti Confcommercio Pisa, Rodolfo Salemi, councilor of the Municipality of Viareggio together with Andrea Volpintesta, first dancer of La Scala, Dario Di Giacomo, councilor of the Municipality of Carmignano, the mayor of Fiesole Cristina Scaletti but also Alberto Montigiani, Edoardo Baldini and Alessandra Capra (Associazione Fieri Aps-Ets) and Massimo Gramigni of Prg.
“A landmark event that marks the beginning of summer – underlines President Giani -. Since the first edition it has represented the symbol of collaboration between the Region, the Nation, regional agencies and trade associations”. “The newspaper La Nazione – the words of deputy director Caroppo – has always been the protagonist of all editions. This year with even greater pleasure, celebrating the 165th anniversary of the magazine.” The program will start in Florence on June 19th at 7pm with the opening toast organized by Confcommercio Firenze-Arezzo which will be held on the panoramic terrace of the Legend of the Friars inside Villa Bardini.
“Living and working in Tuscany brings many advantages – he adds Cursano – and Arcobaleno is a way for all of us to give something back to our citizens”. Marinoni he recalled how “the paternity of this initiative can be attributed to the former director Gabriele Canè who 12 years ago proposed the creation of an event that reflected the spirit of those initiatives that were already very popular on the Romagna coast at the time”.

Saturday 22nd at 7pm Reggello (Florence) concert by the Vallombrosa Ensemble Symphony Orchestra and on the same day ‘Black Night in Peccioli‘ with music and street artists (organised by Confcommercio Province of Pisa with the patronage of the Municipality of Peccioli, the collaboration of CollEventi and the participation of the Chamber of Commerce of North West Tuscany – Terre di Pisa). Also on the 22nd at 6pm Lucca meeting at the Giglio theater on Giacomo Puccini on the centenary of the composer’s death, followed by a concert of Puccini arias and toasts.
Again on the 22nd Buggianese BridgePonte in Festa: Concerto Pianeta Zero’ and followed by ‘Televisium Gran Varietà’ on 23 June. The two evenings are organized by the Municipality and Confesercenti. On June 23rd Pisa it will be the turn of the 12th edition of the dinner on the Ponte di Mezzo (organised by Confcommercio and Confristoranti) while on the 25th Arezzo it will be possible to take part in a journey of taste and guided visits to the Medici Fortress with a summer aperitif (organised by Confcommercio Firenze-Arezzo) and finally to Alberese (Grosseto), also on Tuesday 25th at 5.30pm, guided excursion along one of the itineraries of the Maremma Park.
