Prato, the Carabinieri commander Sergio Turini goes under house arrest with an electronic bracelet

The Prato entrepreneur Riccardo Matteini Bresci, CEO of the “Colle Group” also ended up under house arrest last May 31st: the lawyer Pier Matteo Lucibello asked for the house arrest to be revoked for him. The request will be discussed on Tuesday 18 June at the Court of Review.

Turini, according to the deputy prosecutor Luca Tescaroli and the prosecutors Lorenzo Boscagli and Massimo Petrocchi, he would have made himself available to friendly Italian and Chinese entrepreneurs, illegally accessing the law enforcement database system to provide information. In particular, he would have informed Matteini of the progress of the investigations, covered by secrecy, on employees of the Colle Group and reported data on other entrepreneurs.

The investigations, conducted by the ROS carabinieri, documented that Turrini allegedly made at least 99 unauthorized accesses to the police force database. Matteini Bresci would have repaid himself by paying for a trip of over 5 thousand euros to the United States for the son of the lieutenant colonel and by pressuring the undersecretary for foreign affairs Giorgio Silli (not under investigation) to take action towards the general command of the Army to guarantee his permanence of Turini in Prato.

Turini also allegedly carried out research on the databases used by the police, exploiting his position to procure clients for his friend, the owner of the detective agency, receiving in exchange three bottles of Ornellaia wine worth almost 1900 euros.
