The musical high school turns 40 and is racking up awards

The “Petrarca” musical high school in Arezzo turns 40 and is winning prizes at national competitions. Moreover, the very high quality was noticed in the event of 7 June at the Petrarca theater during the performances of the various ensembles. The evening, presented by Elisa Pieschicelebrated the first 40 years of the school whose birth vicissitudes were meticulously recounted by the professor Claudio Santorione of the founders.

The musical high school of Arezzo was the first in all of Italy and took off also thanks to the choice of twelve first-year high school students, now over fifty and all present in the room. And the anniversary could not have been celebrated better than with numerous people prizes obtained by current students in the various music competitions held in the spring.

These are the names of winners: Margherita Tiezzi, Denise Ceno, Limatola Francesca, Dami Carmen, Reale Giacomo, Polverini Elia, Gargano Felice, Schiatti Emanuele, Vezzosi Gianmarco, Del Cucina Lorenzo, Rossi Serge Amani, Santagata Alessandro, Marcheselli Anna.

Important prizes were also obtained by the Ottoni group directed by Professor Simone Ferrini. The competitions were the Zangarelli in Città di Castello, the Calcit Competition and the Giangaelazzo Visconti Competition in Rome. Also worth mentioning is the first overall prize at the National Composition Competition “Il Giardino d’Apollo” obtained by Daniele Begliomini.
