Arcobaleno d’Estate is back, the party that marks the beginning of the summer season. The theme of the twelfth edition is widespread Tuscany. From 19 to 25 June there will be many events to discover the beauty of Tuscany, combining events with music and tastings of typical products with guided tours and cultural and nature experiences. The event is promoted by the Tuscany Region together with La Nazione with the support of Toscana Promozione Turistica, Fondazione Sistema Toscana and Vetrina Toscana and with the participation of trade associations.
There are two previews of Arcobaleno: “La Toscana in Bocca”, which was held on 7 and 8 June in Prato, and the Città di Viareggio dance festival promoted by the Municipality of Viareggio and ongoing until tomorrow, 15 June.
The panoramic terrace of Leggenda dei Frati, chef Filippo Saporito’s restaurant, will host the opening toast this year, on Wednesday 19 June at 7pm (organised by Confcommercio Firenze-Arezzo). There will be the possibility of free guided tours for the public at the adjacent Villa Bardini where the photographic exhibition dedicated to Mimmo Jodice is underway.
After the ribbon cutting, many events will follow, all within the framework of Arcobaleno d’Estate, with a continuously updated program available on Visittuscany.com, the official portal of the Tuscany destination managed by Fondazione Sistema Toscana. From 20 to 23 June in Pistoia the Music Festival promoted by the Municipality (four days of concerts and shows with free admission). On 21 and 22 June in Artimino (Prato), ‘Tramonti diVini: the flavors of Montalbano’ (from 7pm to midnight) promoted by the Municipality and the Pro Loco of Carmignano in collaboration with Confcommercio.
Saturday 22nd at 7pm concert by the Vallombrosa Ensemble Symphony Orchestra conducted by maestro Giacomo Loprieno for a tribute to Ennio Morricone (organised by Toscana Promozione Turistica, free entry). On the same day ‘Notte Nera a Peccioli’, an event entirely dedicated to the black truffle, with music and street artists who will invade the streets of the historic center of Peccioli, Borgo dei Borghi 2024 (organised by Confcommercio Province of Pisa, with the patronage of the Municipality of Peccioli, the collaboration of CollEventi and the partnership of the Chamber of Commerce of North West Tuscany – Terre di Pisa). Also on the 22nd at 6 pm in Lucca, as part of ‘A theater always open’, meeting at the Giglio theater on Giacomo Puccini on the centenary of the composer’s death; followed by a concert of Puccinian arias and a toast to Arcobaleno d’estate. Again on the 22nd Ponte in Festa: Concerto Pianeta Zero (an evening dedicated to the music of Renato Zero) and to follow on the 23rd June: Televisium Gran Varietà (an evening of shows and entertainment). The evenings are organized by the Municipality of Ponte Buggianese, Confesercenti and the Natural Shopping Center of Ponte Buggianese.
On 23 June in Pisa it will be the turn of the 12th edition of the dinner on the Ponte di Mezzo (organised by Confcommercio and Confristoranti). On the 25th in Arezzo it will be possible to take part in a journey of taste, music and guided tours of the Medici Fortress with the summer aperitif (organised by Confcommercio Firenze-Arezzo) and finally in Alberese (Grosseto), again on Tuesday 25th at 5.30pm, guided wildlife excursion along one of the itineraries of the Maremma Park, organized by the Park. Followed by tasting of typical local products offered by Confagricoltura inside the Antico Frantoio.
