Roberto “Chicco” Clerici was Captain and Grand Prior of the Contrada San Magno and Deputy Grand Master of the Palio di Legnano
Legnano – He passed away suddenly this morning, June 14th, following a heart attack, Roberto “Chicco” Clerici. He was 78 years old.
Roberto Clerici made the history of the Palio and Legnano. After several years of regency with subsequent victories for the Contrada di San Magno, Clerici was also Deputy Grand Master of the Palio di Legnano. From the red-white-red Grand Council Chicco had also received the position of Commander of the Noble. A life spent in the Contrada since he was a boy, with his father Dante Scudiero from Contra in 1937.
A point of reference not only for his Contrada, but also for the entire city, where he was well known and appreciated, where he was attentive and active also in the social world. He had also spent his time on the Centenary of Felice Musazzi, being part of the organizing committee and, ultimately, for the Centenary of the City of Legnano, also in this case taking care of the organization of the celebrations.
The date of the funeral has not yet been announced.
