The management group elected the young trade unionist on Wednesday 12 June in Caltanissetta during the works of the garrison board.
A young trade unionist at the helm of Fit Cisl Agrigento Caltanissetta Enna, the federation representing workers in transport, the environment and services. Antonio Stagno, 31 years employee of Mercitalia S&T was elected by the management group, in Caltanissetta, in the presence of the General Secretary of Fit Sicilia, Dionisio Giordano and his secretariat and the General Secretary of Ust Cisl AgClEn, Carmela Petralia and her members of secretariat.
In thanking the management group and the support of the regional secretariat of Fit Sicilia and of the ust Agrigento Caltanissetta Enna, Stagno reiterated the commitment to be increasingly alongside the people that the federation represents, offering continuous support and fighting for concrete improvements to their working conditions. This includes compliance with the CCNL, ensuring safety regulations and resolving disputes quickly and effectively. The young trade unionist adds: “my commitment will be maximum to improve the well-being of workers, not only in the railway sector but also in all the others that I am honored to represent”.
“Today is an important day”, declared Carmela Petralia, General Secretary of the CISL Agrigento Caltanissetta Enna, “the local FIT federation has a young and competent trade unionist, who I am sure will be able to build a new path. With innovative ideas and maximum commitment Antonio will be able to face the many challenges that await him in our territories. It is important to give young people confidence by entrusting them with roles of responsibility, as FIT Cisl is doing. The CISL believes very much in the value of the new generations and in their inclusion and promotion in the workplace”.

The new secretary of the fit cisl has recently completed his trade union training, the Fiesole study center the last training module. Belonging, competence and passion, this is the spirit with which Fit Cisl serves transport and environmental services workers in Sicily.”
