Rho Night Run returns for the fifth time: one thousand registered

The first non-competitive race dates back to 2018. Then Covid imposed some stops. On Friday 21 June 2024 the Rho Night Run will reach its fifth edition, again with meeting at 8.00 pm and departure from Piazza San Vittore at 8.30 pm. The awards are scheduled for 10.00 pm. The Lions Club Rho Host launched a few weeks ago, in collaboration with the Municipality of Rho, the recreational sports event which attracted over a thousand members. There are two possible routes: one of 8 km and the other of 5 km, open to everyone, seniors and juniors. We will run along the city streets, then returning to Piazza San Vittore. As the organizers say, “a non-competitive race that takes us to experience the city without the frenzy of the working day, to rediscover its streets, to be together and to feel good, even through physical exercise”.

«It is another opportunity to promote sports culture and psychophysical well-being – explains the Sports councilor Alessandra Borghetti – Running enthusiasts, but also families and groups of friends participate. People with strollers, to stay with their children, or with dogs on a leash. It’s a moment of aggregation for everyone. It is not necessary to run, you can also walk, so no particular training is needed.”

Registration involves the payment of a fee of 15 euros. In addition to getting a t-shirt, a canvas bag, a voucher for the consumption of risotto and beer upon arrival, you will be able to allocate funds to charity according to the Lions’ objectives: the money raised will be used to support the Lions guide dog association for the blind.
