The regional president of Coldiretti, Antonio Pessolani, firmly denounced the critical situation resulting from the uncontrolled proliferation of wild boars in Basilicata, defining it as an emergency that requires immediate action.
Pessolani condemned the lack of concrete actions on the part of the institutions to address the spread of these ungulates, defining the situation as “out of control”. «Farmers and breeders – he declared – can no longer wait, while wild boars continue to devastate the fruits of their hard work, leaving damage and desolation behind. This is why farmers and breeders are ready to take to the streets again.”
The Lucanian Coldiretti has already started to organize itself, with regional and provincial assemblies that have consolidated the front of indignation. The streets will soon ring with voices determined to assert their rights.
