Shows, live music, performances, book presentations, but also open-air cinema, with guest actors and directors in the square, and an eagerly awaited return to the glories of the Middle Ages with the inevitable Giostra di Cesena. Also this year the Cesena summer will be characterized by a rich program of initiatives that will return to animate the places of culture and entertainment in the city, from the squares and parks of the historic center (public garden and Serravalle garden) to the Rocca Malatestiana, Cloister of San Francesco, Villa Silvia Carducci. If some events have already taken place (this is the case of the magical evenings of Zigoia Theatre in the park of Villa Silvia Carducci), the spotlight will soon be on many others as part of the municipal program “What a spectacle summer is in Cesena” which will be further enriched by the summer events “FU ME”, “Emilia Romagna Festival” and “ Open sky”.
In this regard, 22 companies, associations and third sector bodies are the beneficiaries of the tender promoted by the municipal administration and corresponding to a total package of 95 thousand euros. Specifically, the proposals deemed suitable (9 presented by companies and 13 by third sector associations and bodies) were allocated an economic contribution equal to 70% of the expenses incurred and documented for the implementation of the project activities.
Among the companies: Smile Srl, which will offer jazz shows at the Rocca and in the historic center; of the Cesenate Revisioni Consortium which will offer the city an evening in memory of Faber; by Well Srl which will entertain Cesena residents and visitors with jazz and classical music concerts from dawn to dusk; by Diego Suzzi who returns with the evocative and interesting evenings in violin making live podcast with Lucio Corsi, Fabio Concato and Cristiano Godano of Marlene Kunts, Vasco Brondi and Francesco Bianconi; of Pleiadi International with the Ligaza at the Giardini di Serravalle. Other events will be organized by Materiali Musicali di Giordano Sangiorgi, Il Vicolo, Tazza d’oro and Contra Srls.
Among the Third Sector organisations: Aidoru goes on stage with “Extra – performance and architecture tailored for new generations”; Italian Clarinet Academy with “Clarinettomania: Music Festival – Clarinet and Saxophone Ensemble”; Sillaba returns to Cesena with important guests such as Vera Gheno, who will be on stage with “Grammanti. Imagining futures with words”, Lorenzo Maragoni “raw psychologist – Unboxing, Sex, love and also not”, Carlotta Vagnoli with “The usual Stronze”, and “The vagina dialogues”; Micapoco will propose “Books that play”, an evening meeting with Domenico Zoppo, a tribute to Mina with the Viale Mazzini band, and the concerts “The Kiss/Still Alive tribute band”, “Bon Jovi Bmb tribute band”, “AC/DC tribute band ”, “RCYB Rock Cover Young Band Contest, semi-final and final; Quartolato with “No Braino” and “Gio Evan” in concert, “Claudia Macori with Giuseppe Cucinotta” and “Mellow Mood and Vasco Bartowski Abbondanza”; the Limo Association will go on stage with “Voci Plurali”. Ample space for dance with “Let’s dance together one step after another, popular dances” curated by Auser Cesena, and for ballet with Asd Dance and Theater laboratory which will make the stars of dance shine at the Rocca Malatestiana. There will be no shortage of music from the “Suoni. Salons of musical arts” now in its fourth edition and curated by the Chorus Musical Association, nor the “Malatesta Short Film Festival – Mondi Riemersi” proposed by Albedo. And again: other initiatives will be proposed by the Bluebeard Cultural Association and the TADE Association.
