“Don’t Forget Me” continues, the project to raise awareness among people about the problem of senile dementia. Last Sunday the second “play-motor walk” was held which involved 79 elderly people from La Casa Residenza Anziani Violante Malatesta divided into three groups, including the protected section with people suffering from senile dementia. The activity started from outside the Cra Violante Malatesta in Case Finali managed by the Cooperativa Sociale Il Cigno of Cesena. The group – made up of more than 100 people including guests, family and friends – met at 9 am for a walk along a 2 kilometer route along the pedestrian and cycle path.

The idea of the walk was born from the entertainer Romina of the Casa Residenza Anziani, always ready to promote new initiatives that involve guests and create closeness with the Cesena area. “It was a very beautiful moment, full of emotions and smiles – explains the animator – appreciated by both the guests and their relatives. We accompanied the walk with music and gave all the participants a small gadget with the “forget me not” flower symbol.

“Il Cigno – adds Dania Brighi, management manager of the structure – wants to involve families in its activities and raise awareness in the area where it operates, always with a view to transparency and sharing of the Cooperative’s values”. At the end of the route, all participants were offered a rich refreshment with drinks, sweets and a donut kindly offered by the director Vanni Zanfini of Conad di Case Finali.
