Roman music of the 18th century at the Teatini with Ghisleri choir and Aimart orchestra

Tuesday 18 June the Sala dei Teatini inaugurates the second edition of Music in Santa Margherita, an Ancient Music review of the Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation, organized by Ghislierimusica. A single and special event that anticipates the season, including other events, which will take place starting next autumn at the Foundation’s Auditorium.

The absolute protagonist of the Teatini concert is the Roman music of the 18th centuryThat
will be presented on stage through speakers by Giacomo Carissimi. The interpreters
they will be the singers of the University Choir of the Ghislieri College and the young orchestral musicians
of the Aimart School of Rome, directed by maestro Luca Colombo. The performers of the main roles are also young: Maria Dalia Albertini for the poignant role of “Filia” victim of her father’s sacrifice “Jepthe”, voiced by the tenor Alessandro Vianelli.
The two autumn events will instead be dedicated to two selected ensembles
in the context of European Seeemerging projecta major cooperation project that has brought together numerous European partners since 2014 and which, over the years, has revealed to the public some of the most vital and recognized ensembles of the new generation.

“I am very excited to present, alongside many young artists, a concert by Coro Ghislieri which will be held at the end of September – he comments Giulio Prandi, artistic director of Ghislierimusica – To also be able to share with the Piacenza area the artistic path that we have been pursuing on the Italian and international scene for many years. Music in Santa Margherita thus becomes a international crossroadswhere highly experienced musicians and the best young artists in Europe meet”.
