Archeoclub Bisceglie participates in the European Archeology Days 2024

L’Archeoclub of Italy of Bisceglie announces the city’s participation in the European Days of Archeology (GEA) 2024, which will be held on 14/15/16 June throughout Europe, an annual event dedicated to the promotion of the archaeological heritage of the continent. This year, the focus will be on the research and documentation work of Prof. Luigi Palmiottiauthor of numerous studies on the Dolmen La Chianca area and other archaeological sites in the Bisceglie countryside.

Palmiotti has passionately dedicated his life to research and valorisation of the archaeological heritage of his hometown, Bisceglie. Founder of the Ethnographic Museum of Bisceglie, Palmiotti played a crucial role in the study of the Dolmen La Chianca, one of the most significant megalithic monuments in Europe, and numerous other archaeological sites in the region.
