An entire city dreams of Serie D. Magenta truly lives a daydream and on Sunday at 4pm in Altavilla Vicentina, the town where Roberto Baggio lives, this dream could seriously materialise. Maurizio Salese is the sporting director of Magenta. He said from experience that in the past he led Legnano to the playoffs twice, in 2014 and 2019, and that now he has the opportunity to obtain new satisfaction after the goalless draw in the first leg.
Magenta at Altavilla will be able to qualify with a win or a draw, as long as they score at least one goal. Salese era arrives in Magenta in 2022 together with coach Alessandro Lorenzi. “First of all, I want to congratulate the team and the coach for the great championship played. Great credit goes to the coach and the group, including those who played less. I cannot forget the efforts and passion of the club, of our president Giovanni Cerri and his son Marco”, declared Salese. Salese then described the weekend program: “The club party, which has already been planned for some time, will begin on Saturday. Regarding the return match, Salese said: “In the first leg it was a tense match, we studied each other. We had players who were within a doubt, which influenced the match. We almost always manage to score, but on Sunday we were unable to overcome the their defense. They are a strong team, they have only lost three games during the year and they have experienced players. I expect a match similar to the first leg, where we cannot afford mistakes.” Salese also commented on the recent transfer rumors regarding Jordan Pedrocchi, midfielder from 1991: “I spoke to the boy, he is completely focused on the playoffs and is not interested in transfer rumours. He supports Magenta and wants to see Magenta in Serie D. moment, other issues are of no interest to anyone, least of all him.”
