TERMOLI – The Alfano Institute, at the end of yet another high-level season in the national debate panorama (for the third consecutive year the Alfano team represented Molise at the National Debating Championship, where one of the members of the Termoli team achieved second place at an individual level), wanted to conclude this long journey by organizing its first “debate day”, to which schools from other regions were also invited.
At this first edition, held in the Aula Magna of the classical high school on Tuesday 11 June with the coordination of prof. Mascilongo, coordinator of the debate project, in addition to two teams from the Alfano Institute itself, a team from the “Vico” classical high school in Chieti and one from the Mattioli high school center in Vasto participated, accompanied by the referring teachers.
At the end of an intense day which saw each team engaged in three debates, first place was won by the Alfano team formed by the students Vincenzo Mastronardi (4ALC), Angelika di Siro (4ALC), Angelica Trolio (4BLC) and Manuela Cucoro (4BLS), which beat the Mattioli team from Vasto in the final. The second Alfano team, made up of the students Alessia Cesari (4BLC), Giulia La Torre (4BLC), Claudio Canulli (2ALS), Giuseppe Pacitto (4ELS) and Christian Pellicciotti (5CLS) won third place, overtaking the team from the Vico di Chieti high school finished. To complete the excellent team results, in the individual speaker ranking the first four places are occupied by students from Alfano, in order Vincenzo Mastronardi, Giulia La Torre, Manuela Cucoro and Angelika di Siro. The director of Alfano Concetta Rita Niro expressed satisfaction with the success of the initiative and the excellent results achieved by the students from Termoli.
