PERUGIA – Great result at the national finals of the under 12 men’s category (three against three), for Its Umbria Academy Perugia (in the photo) which achieved the third step of the podium. The very young block-devils won two to zero (15-11, 15-10) against Reggio Calabria, two to one (9-15, 15-11, 15-9) against Catania, two to zero (15-11, 15-5) over Chieti, two to zero (15-11, 15-0) over Cagliari. In the quarter-final two to zero (15-10, 15-12) against Sesto Fiorentino, in the semi-final there was a defeat in the third set (10-15, 15-11, 7-15) against Genoa, in the consolation final victory by two to one (15-6, 12-15, 15-6) with Portogruaro. Coach Andrea Moscioni said: “We return to Perugia with a splendid bronze, very happy, very satisfied with what we have done without having anything to complain about. We return to the gym to plan the next season. This tournament closes the youth sector season, a season incredible. We hit the ground running at a regional level, winning all the category championships. As a men’s movement, there has been a great boost, now comes the most beautiful and at the same time hardest part because, after a season like this, we have to maintain this level. and try to grow further.
