ACI Storico: Wheels in History From Rice to Pink

On the occasion of a new stage of Wheels in Historyregistered in the 2024 calendar, theAutomobile Club of Novara proposes an itinerary among the fortified villages of its province with particular attention to cultural valorization and historical motoring in its complex and charm.
Sunday 16 June, the organization chaired by Victor Cocytus with the direction of Paolo Pinto offers to give an evocative tour capable of fully embracing the objective of the event conceived and created by ACI Historical And Automobile Club of Italy.

The rally, carried out in compliance with the now well-known national format Wheels in History, takes place in a tourist-cultural manner, without any competitive ambitions, and achieves the aim of promoting historical motoring, combining it with the valorisation of the excellence of the territory, in this case the Castles of Rovasenda (VC) and the medieval frescoes of Church of San Pietro in Castello to Carpignano Sesia which, as a Cluniac site (ecclesiastical complex from the medieval era) is currently proposed for candidacy as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The crews will depart from Novara for a route inspired by Middle Ages, the chivalric one of the Castles of Rovasenda and the Cluniac one of Carpignano Sesia. The parking of vehicles in Novara will continue into the early morning, subsequently the vehicles will move to reach Rovasendafollowing an itinerary that will touch some of the many fortified villages present between Novara and la Baraggia Reserve. Among the expected models also a 1961 Maserati 3500 Gt, a 1963 Lancia Appia sedan III series, a 1974 Alfa Romeo Giulia, a Fiat 1300 S Vignale – Giannini, a 1960 Jaguar and a 1989 Lancia Delta Integrale 16v. All ready to experience a day full of passion, history and sharing.

PLAN:
09.00 am: Gathering and display of the cars in Novara.
10.00 am: Departure for Rovasenda.
Around 11.00 am: Arrival in Rovasenda, stop at the Ancient Castle, guided tour and blessing of the cars.
1.00 pm: Lunch.
3.00 pm: Departure for Carpignana Sesia.
Around 3.30 pm: Arrival in Carpignana Sesia and guided tour of the Ricetto, the Museum of the ancient Vitruvian Press, and the Church of San Pietro in Castello.
