Important security measures are expected during the G7 which takes place in Borgo Egnazia, Puglia, on the Fasano coast from today until Saturday 15 June. Traffic restrictions in Brindisi

The traffic restrictions will be in force until tomorrow, June 14thwith a ban on vehicle circulation in safety areas around the Swabian Castle and in adjacent areas.

Restrictions already active from 7:00 yesterday – 12 June – and which will end at 7:00 tomorrow. During these hours, the circulation of vehicles will be prohibited throughout the entire security area – including the main routes used by the delegations – until 1 a.m. June 14 or in any case until “requirements no longer exist”.

To facilitate access to the city center, various areas have been set up free parking outside the security areaaccessible to residents and visitors.

A service is also available free buses provided by the public transport service Stp. Furthermore, from today the level crossing in Via Osanna it is closed to vehicles and pedestrians, allowing only rail traffic to pass.

Traffic restrictions in Fasano and Savelletri

Until the June 16th Fasano and the hamlet of Savelletri will also undergo important security measures.

A controlled access area will include multiple maximum security zones, accessible only with name badges and not transferable. The transit of unauthorized vehicles and people will be prohibited in these areas, while i residents and workers they will be able to continue their daily activities within the urban perimeters.

To facilitate travel they were two exchange areas have been set up at the Acquapark Egnazia and in the car park in front of the Mare Mosso restaurant, with free buses and shuttles.

Accreditation to access these areas is managed by Fasano Sports Hall. Until 1pm on June 16th riders and couriers they will not be able to enter the security areas.

Restrictions also on air traffic and the port of Brindisi

Today – June 13th – L’Brindisi Airport will close temporarilyand airspace for commercial flights from 7pm to 11pm. An alternative road plan and a free parking in Acque Chiarefrom which they depart free buses and shuttles to the airport and the city center.

In parallel, the western part of the port of Brindisi will be closed to navigation from today until tomorrow, 14 June. Only the Motorcycle Ship Stp will be able to operate in specific areas of the port under strict control. All other vessels will have to follow strict safety precautions, following the directives of the naval authorities.

Limited access and the beaches of Savelletri are closed

During the G7 the most beautiful beaches and bathing establishments of Savelletri will be inaccessible to the unauthorized public. Only the local residents and guests of hotel facilities in the controlled areas – always equipped with a badge – they will be able to access them, but only on foot or using free buses and shuttles provided by the organization.

The bathing establishments along the SP90, from Acquapark Egnazia towards Capitoline will remain open to the public, but parking will not be permitted along the SP90 or adjacent streets.
