But when a poster also features the title by virtue of which one is invited to, and participates in, an electoral campaign event, then the legitimate doubt arises as to whether one wants to bend reality to the pursuit of purely political aims”. He states it Ugo Galli, centre-right mayoral candidate in the Manfredonia run-off. Galli refers to the meeting on Friday 14 June between Domenico La Marca, candidate of the centre-left and the representative of “Libera”, Daniela Marcone. The theme of legality is at the center of the event.
Galli critic: “The city of Manfredonia certainly needs legality, but also loyalty and transparency. Issues very dear to me, which have always guided my action as a public manager and, if the citizens want it, also as mayor of this city. Doctor Daniela Marcone, precisely because of the role she plays in safeguarding the memory of the facts of mafia and illegality in our territory, is invited to withdraw her participation in the electoral campaign in favor of only one of the two parties, for loyalty and transparency. I invite you to remain impartial. Instead, you could promote a public confrontation between the two candidates involved in the run-off, an event for which I now declare my availability”.
