He chooses the number 5 shirt and chooses Faenza for his first experience in the A1 series ANNA TUREL. Fresh from her promotion with her Alpo Basket, Anna Turel is a shooting guard born in 2002. Very young but already with a lot of experience behind her. Before the promotion season (in which she averaged 14 points) Anna she played in Udine and Trieste.

Coach Seletti expresses himself this way towards his new player: “I think she is an excellent signing for us, she perfectly embodies the characteristics we are looking for. I also believe that the time has come for her to try the ‘big leap’, she is mature enough to do it, she has followed a correct and linear path, perhaps even more than some of her very ‘sponsored’ classmates. She has always made conscious choices and has always grown, this says a lot about the person she is.

From the first words she seemed very determined to me, she comes with the idea of working a lot. She knows her strengths and limitations, here it’s up to us to move the bar for A1. From a strengths point of view, we are talking about a player who has a great understanding of the game and certainly excellent hands, both for passing and shooting. As for her limits, we are mainly linked to physical and athletic issues and this will be the challenge for her. If she manages to win this challenge we have a player in front of us who will make her A1 for the rest of her career, I believe in it and we will do everything we can to help her achieve this goal. ”

So Anna Turel: “Initially I absolutely didn’t expect the call from Faenza, so I was very happy but also very surprised. It will be my first year of A1, I’m not sure what to expect. We will definitely need to raise the bar both physically and mentally, so I will have to get used to it and understand for a moment. I’m sure I’ll get used to it over time.

I have always liked Faenza as a society. There is a family atmosphere but she has always been ambitious. She earned her A1 on the pitch with sweat and I know what that means because it’s never easy to move up, anything can happen during the playoffs. Society does a lot in this, it must help you and make you feel calm. A bit like it was for me this year in Alpo, where you know that anything could happen, you have to create the group.

As for my personal goals this year, I would like to get into the rhythm of the championship as soon as possible and understand the physicality that is needed. As for the team, I know that it is a very young roster, so consequently there may be difficulties in terms of experience, but on the other hand when you are young there is always a great desire to work and get together as much as possible .” The roster is taking more and more shape and we can’t wait to get back on the pitch!
