The Benevento 5 Star Movement intends to express “the broadest solidarity with the parliamentarian of the 5 Star Movement Leonardo Donno for what happened yesterday in the Chamber of Deputies during the parliamentary debate on differentiated autonomy”.
“The proposal for differentiated autonomy provides for the possibility for Italian regions to obtain greater skills in certain subjects and continues to arouse debates and concerns. Many citizens and local representatives fear that this reform could increase territorial disparities, further penalizing the less developed regions of Southern Italy. Differentiated autonomy in fact risks accentuating the economic and social differences between North and South, undermining the principle of equality that should characterize our Republic.
In this context, it is essential to know the position of our parliamentary representatives, who have the duty to protect the interests of the territory that elected them. We therefore turn to Senator Domenico Matera and the Honorable Francesco Maria Rubano, both belonging to the Government majority, to ask for clarification on their position regarding this delicate issue.
The incident that occurred yesterday in Parliament during the debate on the bill regarding differentiated autonomy represents an unacceptable episode that discredits the democratic institutions of our country and amplifies and accentuates the inequalities between North and South”, concludes the M5s .
