GUIDONIA – “Social Tour”, 4 days dedicated to inclusion between Art, Music and Sport

The “Social Tour” begins today, Thursday 13 June, the highly anticipated event which until 16 June will “colour” the streets of the city of Guidonia Montecelio with music, shows and sports to promote understanding and acceptance of diversity, eliminate prejudices and build a more inclusive community.
An immersive experience that will combine artistic expression with awareness of social challenges.

The project, born from the commitment of Mattia Del Forno, singer of the band “La Scelta”, and Alessia Croce, in collaboration with the record label Coffee Records, is sponsored by the Municipality of Guidonia, the Lazio Region, the ASL of Rome 5 , by the Italian Paralympic Committee, by the Buzzi Unicem company and by the Società del Travertino Romano Spa.

“People are increasingly distant and unwelcoming towards others, social discomfort, especially among young people, is constantly increasing; the Social Tour intends to open minds and hearts, openly facing the challenges of today and tomorrow”underlines Mattia Del Forno.

The “No Child Abuse Aps” Association will also be present on these important days, with its official stand, to make the community responsible on the delicate issue of child abuse. On the evening of the 16th, it will reserve for all event participants an unprecedented surprise created exclusively for the Social Tour.

The intense program includes:
On June 13th at 6.00 pm at Piazza Matteotti the inclusive Judo school Anco Marzio will start the event with a demonstration of skills underlining the importance of sport as a means of social integration.
Following at 8.30 pm at the Imperial Theatre, with free admission while seats last, the unpublished show “VITRIOL” written and performed by Mario Tricca will be on stage with the participation and choreography of Andrea Palombi and the Rome International Dance Academy, which will address the topic of bullying and cyberbullying.
At 10.00 pm the evening continued with a “Flashmob” which will involve the public and with the DJ set which will guarantee fun for all participants.

On June 14th at 6.30 pm the historic group of motorcyclists “PMP Gens” will leave at 6.30 pm from Via del Barco 7 in Tivoli Terme and, parading through the streets of Villanova, Villalba, Albuccione and Collefiorito will arrive in Piazza Matteotti at 8.00 pm. Subsequently at 8.30 pm at the imperial theatre, again with free admission while seats last, the band “La Scelta” together with other artists such as Mirko Frezza, Ismaila Mbaye, Marcello Fonte, RIDA, Quattrotto Dance Company and Pan-IC, will bring on stage a musical performance that will explore themes such as inclusion, social revenge and rebirth.
The evening will continue with a colorful Holy Party at Piazza Matteotti followed by a DJ set that will make the city dance until late at night.

On June 15th at 4pm a parade of vintage cars and motorbikes will depart from Villanova and pass through various neighbourhoods, arriving at the square of Guidonia Airport.
At 6.00 pm at the Pineta space in Via Roma the “Social Food” cooking workshop will be held, led by Chef Nicoletta Lanci in collaboration with the Numero Primi Association to address the socially relevant issue of eating disorders.
At 8.45pm in Piazza Matteotti the Italy-Albania match will be projected on a giant screen, an opportunity for aggregation and fun for the whole family.

On June 16th at 6pm the “Social Tour” village will be set up in the outdoor space of Buzzi Unicem with free entry. The opening ceremony will be accompanied by the Pietro Mascagni Band of Villanova and followed by various artistic performances.
The crucial moment of the evening will be at 8.30pm when more than 20 artists will take turns on the central stage, including actors, doctors, athletes and entertainment personalities presented by Lele Sarallo. Among the “Special Guests” the very famous singer Marco Masini.

All that remains then is for everyone to be present at this great event to celebrate the colors of art, music and sport together under the same sky of social inclusion.
