With 80.4% employment of graduates and three-year graduates one year after graduation, this year too Verona exceeds the national average of 74.1% and also the regional average of 78.3%. This is stated by the data processed by the Almalaurea consortium, presented today, Thursday 13 June in Trieste, during the conference “Graduates and international dimensions: from university to the job market”.

The AlmaLaurea report on the profile of graduates analyzed the educational performance of approximately 300 thousand graduates of 2023 from 78 universities. In particular, these are 163 thousand first level graduates, 102 thousand from two-year master’s degrees and 31 thousand from single cycle courses. As regards the employment status of graduates, it analyzed approximately 660 thousand first and second level graduates from 78 universities from 2022, 2020 and 2018, contacted respectively one, three and five years after obtaining the qualification.

As always, the data relating to the employment rate of Scala graduates are excellent. 80.4% of Scala’s three-year graduates have already found a job one year after graduation with a average net monthly salary of 1494 euros. Good results also for second level graduates with an employment rate of 81.5% after one year (75.7% national average), which reaches 90.1% after five years (88, 2% national average).

The report also shows that the average age at graduation is 25.6 years with 69.4% of graduates in progress and an average grade of 104 out of 110. 80% he did internships and internships and 77.9% carried out a job during university studies.

“The new Almalaurea investigation – explains the magnificent rector Pier Francesco Nocini – confirms the quality of the work done in these years of my mandate on the educational offer of the University of Verona. Thanks to a team project, to which the entire university community, teachers and technical and administrative staff dedicated themselves, not only have we increased the number of students who have chosen Verona for their studies, but we have given these girls and these boys with the right knowledge and skills to successfully enter the world of work. In an area where the production system is highly competitive, being able to include young, well-prepared figures oriented towards creativity and innovation can only generate added value”.

But how do they judge the university experience? 90.1% of graduates are satisfied with the relationship with the teaching staff and 85.1% consider the study load adequate for the duration of the course. Regarding the infrastructures made available by the university, 91.6% of graduates who used them considered the classrooms adequate. More generally90.3% of graduates declared themselves satisfied with the university experience as a whole.

“I am particularly proud of the appreciation of our male and female graduates on the overall experience at Univr which 90.3% evaluate with satisfaction”, concludes the rector Nuts. “The period of university studies is a very challenging period of life for students and the families who support them to guarantee them the best possible future. It is our duty to guarantee these girls and boys not only quality training courses in line with the needs of the world of work but also a high quality of university life”.
