The details have been defined for the contributions to the families of children and young people who will benefit from the various summer camps promoted by various structures and associations in Umbria between now and the next few months. In fact, also for 2024, the Region has provided a contribution for the participation of minors in summer camps.
The Regional Council, on the proposal of the budget councilor Paola Agabiti, has allocated 1 million and 850 thousand euros for this purpose; during the meeting on Wednesday 12 June the criteria were also defined in view of the publication of the specific notice. Announcement which will be published in the next few weeks and which usually provides for a differentiated quota based on the age group, with the contributions being paid as a share to reimburse the activity carried out by the children and young people, with obviously certified payments.
“This is a significant measure intended for families residing in Umbria with children born after 31 May 2007 and a ISEE of an amount not exceeding €40,000,00”, announces councilor Agabiti. “With this resolution – he adds – we wanted to give continuity to a measure that is part of a regional policy that has always seen the family at the center of its action. The objective is to continue to support the costs faced by families for the participation of children and young people in important moments of socialization and training, at the same time facilitating the possibility for parents to reconcile time for work and care for their children. This is even more true at a time of year when the suspension of educational activities leads to an increase in family commitments”.
“The innovative use made in recent years of the European Social Fund – concludes Agabiti – has made it possible to trace a path that is in some ways new in supporting families through measures that have proven to be particularly effective from a social point of view. Never in the past had European resources been allocated to targeted actions of concrete help to individuals and families”.
