“The bad news is that, unfortunately, we have had to deal with a new case of mistreatment of an animal, an episode which once again measures how little or no civility index certain people have.
However, I do not want to overemphasize this negative aspect but focus on the good news: the first is that the dog who was treated like a stuffed animal in Campo di Marte is well, cared for by the Enpa boys to whom I extend my thanks for the daily commitment made.
The second good news is that we were right at the beginning of the mandate when, thanks to the availability of the PM commander Aldo Poponcini, we created a specific group of agents dedicated to the protection and defense of animals. Who once again demonstrated their efficiency, both by saving the puppy and by calming the unorthodox behavior of the protagonist of the story who refused to get into the car even while handcuffed.
I therefore thank Commander Poponcini and the boys in uniform for believing in this project and above all I invite citizens to contact them whenever they find themselves faced with a case of mistreatment: they will be listened to and given prompt intervention”.
