FIUMICINO – The “Beach Summer 2024 Sports Village” will be inaugurated on June 14th at 7pm on the Lungomare della Salute in Fiumicino, at number 56. The sand sports program, promoted by the tourism department, will begin on Saturday 15th June, from 6pm to 9pm, with the Sky Sport event “International Beach Soccer Tour (IBST)”. Fiumicino will in fact be one of the summer stages that will host the prestigious tournament organized by the IBS league. The group, which will take place over two days, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June from 8pm to 11pm, will see Italy, Brazil, Romania and Egypt competing. At the end of the tournament, on Saturday 15 June at 9pm, the “UEFA EURO 2024” Italy – Albania match will be broadcast on the big screen installed on the beach.
«We are thrilled to host a month of sporting events on the beach at the “Beach Estate Sports Village 2024”. An initiative that not only promotes tourism in our city, but also offers a unique opportunity to attend high-level competitions. The events on the beach will last until July 14th and will be accompanied by a series of entertainment initiatives. We invite all citizens to participate in the events which will have free entry”, states the councilor for sport and tourism, Federica Poggio.
