PALERMO – In Sicily, two stories of ordinary violence that occurred at school. The first, as reported by the newspaper La Repubblica, happened at the Liceo Cannizzaro in Palermo where a 16-year-old hit a teacher who wrote him a note: “We were in second period and the boy was not among the desks. I waited about twenty minutes to understand where it had ended up and then I noted the absence in the register as per practice”, says the teacher. “At that point he, who certainly read it live on the electronic register with his mobile phone, showed up in the courtroom and, approaching me, gave me such a resounding slap on the neck that it left a mark on the skin”. The Cannizzaro school director, Anna Maria Catalano, reported the pupil to the police.

The other episode of violence at school and reported by Open occurred in Milazzo at the Leonardo Da Vinci technical institute. Having learned that his parents had been summoned by the institute to inform them that their son would have to repeat the year, the boy, a minor, waited for his father and mother to leave the school to attack the teacher with kicks and punches. The manager Stefania Scolaro also notified the police in this case. After being hit, among other things, the teacher also hit his head when he fell. For checks he was admitted to the Giuseppe Fogliani hospital in Milazzo.
