Vaira: «Palermo has hired the right coach, he will be a protagonist in Serie B»

Interviewed by “TMW” the former Modena DS, Davide Vaira, expressed himself on various topics.

Here are his words:

«Conte is a great coach and testifies to the intentions of President De Laurentiis: he has signed a winner who always manages to build a group and mentality. Napoli will be protagonist. I think he will have very clear ideas. Conte is a very marked coach in his choices. Giovanni Manna is a guy I know, smart: they have clear ideas and will make the right market. Conte wants soldiers, we need to pedal. Napoli will make a market based on the characteristics the coach wants.”

What market will the summer market be? «There’s a lot of movement. Many have changed. At Juve it will be Giuntoli’s first real market, who will act with his method and the choice of the coach goes in this direction. I’m curious to see Roma. And I’m happy for Baroni at Lazio: Lotito made a good choice. Then there’s Bologna in the Champions League, Atalanta. It will be a lively market”

And in B? «I see Palermo as protagonists, who have hired the right coach. Bari will make a good transfer and must start again with a new cycle. We need to understand what will happen with Salernitana: if Petrachi went he would make an important team. Sampdoria has some problems but will have to be protagonists. In Genoa the public expects a high-level championship. Pietro Accardi will have a hot potato in his hands.”

Carrarese will compete in Serie B. «I’m from Carrara, I’m happy for the city, the owners and the management. I saw many matches, they were incredible. Talking about surprise isn’t even right. Calabro was exceptional, he changed the team’s mentality.”
