21:21:17 Whether Franco Matacena or Antonio Farinaro wins, the Aversa city council will have a majority made up of councilors elected from the lists of the president of the Order of Accountants of Naples North.
Since Matacena’s coalition exceeded 50% in the first round, it elects thirteen municipal councilors regardless of how things go, which becomes fifteen if the result of the first is confirmed in the second round.
Let’s compare the two municipal councils by analyzing the two possibilities of victory in the runoff round.
If Farinaro were to overturn the result of the first round, here is the composition of the city council:
4 seats Aversa Moderate
Giovanni Innocenti
Olga Diana
Pietro Giglio
Sunday Pisano
3 seats We Aversani
Francesco Sagliocco
Federica Turco
Francesco Matacena
2 seats Imagine Aversa
Massimo Palazzo
Raffaele Oliva
2 seats Aversa Italy
Adele Ferrara
Maximus Virgil
1 Forza Azzurra seat
Luigi Dello Vicario
1 Central seat for Aversa
Raffaele De Gaetano
2 seats Farinaro mayor
Nicla Virgilio
Gilberto Privitera
2 seats Brothers of Italy
Imma Lama
Luigi Menditto
2 Forza Aversa seats
Dino Carratù
Carla Palmiero
The centre-left mayoral candidate Mauro Baldascino
2 seats Democratic Party
Marco Girone
Elena Caterino
1 seat The politics you need
Mario De Michele
1 5 Star Movement seat
Antonio Mottola
On paper therefore there would be a ‘minority’ of 18 seats (to the 13 of Matacena must be added the 5 of Baldascino) and a ‘majority’ of six, i.e. those elected from Farinaro’s lists. Clearly, if this scenario were to take place (see the Marcianise case) the numbers on paper could be contradicted.
If Farinaro were to win instead, the scenario would be this:
5 seats Aversa Moderate
Giovanni Innocenti
Olga Diana
Pietro Giglio
Sunday Pisano
Lucia Aversano
3 seats We Aversani
Francesco Sagliocco
Federica Turco
Antonio Ivan Giglio
