A1 OFFICIAL – Giulia Natali signs with Sassari

Dinamo Banco di Sardegna is pleased to announce the signing of the athlete Giulia Natali for the 2024-2025 season. Guard born in 2002, originally from Ferrara, Giulia played for the Roma freshman team last year and arrives in Sardinia with a desire for redemption: despite her young age, Natali boasts a good CV after the experiences in Venice, Lucca and Rome.

“Giulia is a young girl but with a wealth of experience between the youth national teams and the top flight. You have already shown your talent and you meet the characteristics we are looking for: you have quality in your hands, you see the basket well, you have pace and reading ability. We can’t wait to start working: our goal every year is to maximize the talent of our players by making them feel that there is total confidence in their potential, so as to express themselves to the fullest” comments coach Antonello Restivo.

THE PROFILE

A 176cm player, Giulia is a guard who can play as an added point guard: she has quality in her hands and a good shot. She is a player who sees the basket and has a good reading of the game, perfect characteristics for coach Restivo’s game system.

THE CARREER

Raised as a basketball player in Vigarano, where she made her debut in the top flight in the 2017-2018 season at the age of fifteen, Natali arrived in Venice in 2020 where she experienced the first great exploit of the Orograna club with the victory of the Scudetto and the Italian Super Cup. For two years you wore the shirt of Le Mura Lucca, in your second year in Tuscany you wrote your best season in A1 with over 10 points on average. Last year you played for Roma, newly promoted to the top flight: here you finished with 5.4 points on average, reaching double figures thirteen times. For her, a season high was achieved against Crema, scoring 23 points with 5/8 from the arc.

A hard worker with the work ethic of an excellent professional, Giulia is enrolled at the University in Sports Science. You arrive in Sassari with the desire for redemption after a less than brilliant season in the capital.

Giulia Natali was the youngest ever to be called up to the senior national team: she made her debut with the senior selection at just sixteen years old while in the last two summers she played the 3×3 competitions in the blue shirt.

GIULIA D’AZURRO

Despite her young age, she has already collected many experiences in blue: she was part of all the national youth selections, collecting several medals: at the European Championships in the category two golds, with Under 16 and Under 18, and two bronzes, with Under 16 and Under 20.

Giulia Natali’s first words in biancoblu:

“I am very happy to be able to say that I am a Dinamo Women player: I am grateful for this opportunity because I think that Sassari is the right place to be able to work with ambition and also a lot of serenity. I’ve heard only good things about the city and the fans: I can’t wait to see you all at the Palazzetto”.
