Stefano Fresi will be a Turin In the 2024 with the show “Dioggene” directed by Giacomo Battiato for a single date scheduled at the Gioiello Theater on November 20, 2024. This theatrical work is divided into three parts and revolves around the character of Nemesio Rea, a famous actor.
In the first painting, “Storia de Oddi, Bifolcho”, Nemesio interprets his own text written in thirteenth-century vernacular, telling the story of a Tuscan farmer who took part in the battle of Montaperti between Siena and Florence.
In the second painting, “The Actor and the Good God”, Nemesio is in his dressing room, dressing to go on stage, but he does not talk about the show, but about the recent violent breakup with his wife, amidst tears, shouts and insults.
In the third painting, “Er Cane de Via Der Foss D’A Maijana”, Nemesio lives happily in a garbage can, having left his profession and his old life. He decided, like the Greek philosopher Diogenes, to reject all ambition and possessions to be free to talk about the true meaning of life. This show is produced by Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo, Stefano Francioni Produzioni and Argot Produzioni.
