The wave of bad weather continues across much of Northern Italy. Violent storms hit yesterday evening in Lombardy, in particular between the Milanese and Varese areas, but also in Piedmont, especially in the Novara area. Several inhabitants were evacuated to Cernusco sul Naviglio. Strong thunderstorms and hailstorms are also forecast for the area today. The Civil Protection has issued an orange alert for part of Lombardy and yellow for Piedmont, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna and Umbria. Tomorrow the bad weather will move to the Center.
