“Absolutely yes. Together with De Sanctis there is also Migliaccio, who knows the place well and can identify the right profiles for the team. De Sanctis knows the market well and Dionisi is a very prepared coach. There are all the conditions to have an important season.”
The Goalkeeper Question: Confidence in Desplanches or Ballot?
“Desplanches has seen an important investment. He is a strong and young goalkeeper who has demonstrated his qualities even in important matches. I don’t know the club’s choices, but it is logical that, having invested in him, Palermo is focusing on an important profile for the future. Competition between goalkeepers is good and I think De Sanctis will be able to manage the situation best. Having also been an excellent goalkeeper, he will be able to help the coach in managing the goalkeepers.”
The Role of the Second Goalkeeper
«It is important to have a squad of goalkeepers capable of playing high-level matches, because Serie B will be very competitive next year. No goalkeeper should be influenced by the deputy. It’s bar chatter.”
